Welcome to our vacation home, Parkside at Olivia Beach! With you, our guests, in mind, we have crafted a beach home environment that provides many small luxuries found in higher end vacation homes.

When you arrive at Parkside, you will first catch your breath when you see the park, Olivia’s Green, across the street. You will want to linger in the custom painted Adirondack chairs on the broad front porch to take in the sand volleyball court, children scrambling round the play structure, wetland area and fire pit (wood provided).

Step inside to a spacious main floor living area reminiscent of British colonial island life with its hardwood floors, ceiling fan, crown molding and dark wood furnishings. The living room also features a gas fireplace, flat-screen TV and queen sleep sofa.

In the transition area from the living room to the dining room you will find bookshelves filled with beach collectibles and a small, select library for your reading pleasure. A small round table with two chairs is the perfect breakfast spot, game table or laptop computer desk with broadband internet access. French doors open to the spacious wraparound deck where you can relax in the hot tub, take a warm shower to remove saltwater and sand or dine outside after preparing a meal on the gas BBQ grill.

Back inside, the dining table beckons family and friends to enjoy a leisurely meal. Seating six at the table, three on barstools at the counter, and two more at the small round library table, there is plenty of room for everyone.

Steps away from the dining room is the open, gourmet kitchen featuring granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The owners love to cook, bake and entertain, so the kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances pots, pans, serving dishes, and kitchen gadgets, and cookbooks for every occasion.

Through another door off the kitchen is the mudroom and half bath. There you can do laundry or grab a beach towel in a vintage atmosphere complete with 1950’s sand pail shovels. Exit the back door to the deck and 2 car garage.

Upstairs you’ll find 2 bedrooms, the guest bathroom and master suite. Take a left at the top of the stairs and you’ll find yourself in the ‘Jantzen Beach’ bedroom, named for the diving girl pillow on the bed. This bedroom, with its palette of Caribbean colors, features a queen size bed with a vintage coverlet folded across the foot of the bed and art from a trip to the Bahamas.

Next up is the ‘Surf’s Up’ bedroom, a nod to the world class surfing just off shore. With twin beds dressed in orange, brown and aqua, kids of all ages will want to spend the night here. The surfboard lamp, basket of books under the nightstand and custom painted “surf” art invite you to linger. Special window treatments of fishing net and seashells complete this room’s décor.

To the right of the stairs is the master suite, fondly named Key West. This room is decorated in the calming beach colors of white capped waves, sand and black pebbles. The queen bed is dressed in luxury linens and above the headboard is a hand painted plank that reads, “the stars came out over the summer sea”. A door leads you onto the upper deck overlooking the park, the perfect place to curl up with a book or stargaze after dark. Back inside, you’ll find the master bath with his and her sinks and tub/shower combo with custom black and cream ticking stripe shower curtain. A walk-in closet completes the suite, ideal for those longer stays.

Surely staying longer will be on your mind after a day at the beach exploring tide pools . You will want time to blow your own glass float, fly a kite, do some wine tasting, play a round of golf or go on a whale watching excursion. There is something to make everyone’s Parkside vacation just perfect.

Olivia Beach is burgeoning with growth and the property you are viewing is near an active construction site. The Olivia Beach Home Owners Association has set strict guidelines for the hours in which construction employees may work.
